Aerial Pipeline Maintenance Survey
Our aerial inspections are performed by a commercial pilot along with an experienced gas consultant. Slow passes over high pressure pipelines allow for prompt integrity checks of transmission systems that are not easily accessible. Lines are visually inspected for hazards, such as new construction, terrorism and fallen trees. This survey can be combined with our off road all-terrain vehicle survey for complete inspectional coverage.
Pre-paving Survey
When the gas company becomes aware of a road resurfacing or reconstruction project, this survey should be conducted far enough in advance so that any necessary repairs can be completed.
This survey may be a combination of mobile and portable flame ionization, combined with Combustible Gas Indicator [CGI] bar hole testing.
Inspection of Buried High Pressure Service Line Valves
Using flame ionization, high pressure service line valves and service lines are checked.
Vent terminus location and customer premise record tags are recorded.
Gas map accuracy is verified.
Subsurface Survey
This survey is suited for urban areas. Combustible gas indicator readings are taken in subsurface openings such as electric and telephone manholes, and gas or water shut-off boxes.
